Spanish Golf Federation

All the Bahía San Miguel competitions are played under the rules of the Spanish Golf Federation and therefore it is necessary for all playing members to have a Federation registration number.

Membership Structure

Membership is divided into two parts:

• Shareholding members. The first 150 members have a share in the club. When share certificates were issued in 2006 they had an approximate value of 350 Euros. Shares can be sold or passed on to other members of the family as appropriate.

• Ordinary members. Non-shareholding playing membership is available on an annual basis.

Fees

All members pay annual fees which must be paid in January each year. The fee should be paid into our account at Banco de Andalucia, Almerimar. The details are 0004 3260 01 A/c No. 0601046109.

The present fees are €100 for adults, € 50 for juniors 13-18 and € 25 for children up to 12.

There is a joining fee of €100.

Benefits of Membership

Green Fee Books

The opening and the establishment of the 18 hole Master Course and 9 hole Classic Course for 2008 has led to a review of the fee structure by the Management of Almerimar Golf Resorts. Members will now be able to purchase tickets in books 30, 50, 100, 150 and 200. Prices have increased by approximately 12.50% but details can be obtained from members of the Committee.

Members who have paid their San Miguel annual fee and with their receipt must order and pay for their tickets before the 29th January 2008. There may be a restriction on availability and members are advised to order sooner than later.

Members of the Club de Golf Bahía San Miguel have the facility of paying for their tickets over a period of 6 months. This only applies when purchasing 50, 100, 150 and 200 tickets. Members will have to approach staff at the golf shop to sign the agreement.

Reduced Green Fees at Almerimar

Unfortunately the Management have decided not to continue the system whereby members without tickets could play up to 25 times at the special reduced rate, hence the introduction of books of 30 tickets. However Almerimar Golf Resorts offer a reduced green fee to members of other local golf courses and this rate will be available to members without tickets.

Guest Green Fees

Members with tickets can introduce a guest to play at a reduced rate up to five times a year.

Competitions

Members can take part in the annual Match Play competition and all the other Bahía San Miguel competitions throughout the year.

Reduced Green Fees at other courses

In 2008 playing members are entitled to play a number of courses at reduced rates including:

Playa Serena	30 green fees - 450 euros, 15 green fees - 300 euros, (This can only be done with previous agreement of the Committee). Only during May to October inclusive.

How to join and obtain the benefits

Membership of the club is limited and there is always a waiting list. Application should be made to members of the committee or through the Contact Us link on the web site.

All playing members must join the Spanish Federation prior to joining Bahía San Miguel. Forms to apply for membership of the Spanish Golf Federation can be obtained from the caddie master at Almerimar Golf Course. The form should be returned to them with your handicap certificate. Federation membership costs €60 per annum debited from your Spanish bank account.

When accepted for membership of both the federation and the club you will be issued with separate membership cards. The membership card for Bahía San Miguel and receipt of payment from the bank for the current year of membership of Bahía San Miguel will be required when obtaining the benefits of membership.
